Delhi a metro is like any other city in the world; its chaotic, popoulated and can be quite the stressful place to be in.

This apartment in the heart of Delhi is away from the buzz a metro can create.

Natural light filters in through the day and the greenery outside offers the calm and peace one would want after a days work.

Our design brief was to retain the natural look of the apartment and create a harmonious blend between the outside and inside.

Further our client wanted a zen, clean look. Low seating, low dining and a low bed created exactly that. A personal oasis! 

Using natural materials with high end craftsmanship ensured the natural organic feel to the space.

 

Challenge

We had to work within the existing structure, we could not rip off any walls.

Yet we managed a free flow with natural light materials. 

At the entrance we created a multi purpose unit that houses all utility items.

Along the wall are live edged wooden shelves where indoor plants can be kept.

 

Favourite

An open shelving system in the Living Room houses books and memorabilia.  Next to it a modern version of the planters chairs with cane work are a perfect spot to curl up with a book.
